The Company

Eagle Boat Windows was founded in 1989 to provide a value for money service to boat owners for the repair and refurbishment of windows and hatches. Since them, the business has expanded its range of services to include profiling and drilling of Acrylic windows, manufacture of washboards and the supply of window bedding compound, fixings & parts. The business is run by husband and wife team, Robert & Sally McKelvey. With Robert’s graduate qualifications in Mechanical Engineering with a specialism in offshore engineering as well as Sally’s Business qualification, they are able to manage the business as a long term viable concern.

Operating from a small, purpose built, modern industrial premises in the heart of rural Pennine Lancashire, Eagle Boat Windows is ideally placed to offer its services to boat owners throughout the British Isles and abroad. In addition to serving private boat owners and supporting several commercial boat yards, Eagle Boat Windows are proud to be a contractor to the RNLI for the refurbishment and re-glazing of Lifeboat windows. A members of the British Marine Federation, the company is bound by thier codes of business conduct that gives customers the confidence of quality and service.

The company and our world

As with any reputable and ethical business, Eagle Boat Windows are keen for its activities to minimise any impact on the environment. For example, as much waste as possible is recycled, including all cardboard, paper, glass, wood, some plastics and metal.

Where possible, any chemicals and paints are selected to minimise their impact on the environment.

Off-cuts of Makrolon and Acrylic that are too small for commercial use are retained and donated to a local school for use in their Technology lessons.

In keeping with our responsibilities to a wider world, the use of fairly trade products is encouraged including all tea and coffee consumed in the workshop.
