Window refurbishment

Since the company started in the late 1980’s, we have specialised in the refurbishment of windows and hatches. Although some windows require additional repairs, below is a generic list of operations that we typically carry out:

Fixed Windows

• On receipt, the window is assessed and inspected. If any damage or severe corrosion is noted, we will contact the customer.
• It is fully dismantled and all parts labelled.
• All parts are thoroughly cleaned.
• If required, new toughened glass is ordered or Acrylic is cut to match original glazing.
• The window is re-assembled and joints are sealed.
• The window glazing and frames are primed.
• The window is sealed with a 2-part Butyl rubber sealant injected under pressure (120 - 150 lb/sq.in)
• The sealant is cured in an oven overnight.
• Upon completion the window is inspected and cleaned.
• All windows are carefully packed ready for dispatch/collection.

Opening/Sliding windows

• On receipt, the window is assessed and inspected. If any damage or severe corrosion is noted, we will contact the customer.
• It is fully dismantled and all parts labelled.
• All parts are thoroughly cleaned and any fittings serviced/freed up.
